Nehemiah Building Ministries believes it is
essential for churches and ministry organizations to present a highly
professional image when executing any program that is easily seen by the
public. Specifically, we focus on construction, facility management and
missions outreach programs. We believe that any project the Christian
community executes should be done such that the world sees God's hand in everything.
When all our enemies heard about this, all the surrounding nations were afraid and
lost their self-confidence, because they realized that this work had been done
with the help of our God.
Nehemiah 6:16
When Nehemiah completed his great construction project, he held a large gathering of
the people to praise God for what He had done. Nehemiah was very careful during the
reading of God’s Law to have the Levites spread throughout the crowd and explain to
them what was being read. He didn’t want them to hear what was being presented;
he wanted them to understand it. Everything Nehemiah Building Ministries does is
targeted at equipping Christian organizations with a scriptural-based planning
and project management system to ensure success on future projects.
This is accomplished by providing training and having a pool of Christian engineers
volunteering their time and talents for you after the training is complete.
The Levites instructed the people in the Law while the people were standing
there. They read from the Book of the Law of God, making it clear and
giving meaning so that the people could understand what was being read.
Nehemiah 8:7-8
We believe that the key to successful completion of any project is careful planning
that is bathed in prayer. We want to ensure that the opportunity for God to
act and do something great, such as completing the walls of Jerusalem in 52 days, is
always there. However, we do not want to lose sight of the fact that everything
is done in God's time and some projects will take more time, such as Noah's 120
years to construct the ark. The ability to discern between the two is accomplished
by seeking God's guidance and including Christian volunteers with the necessary
God-given talents to guide you through the process. Remember - Noah had a
construction plan given to him by God and Nehemiah took time to assess his situation
and plan the project before rebuilding the wall.
I went to Jerusalem, and after staying there three days I set out during the night
with a few men. I had not told anyone what my God had put in my heart to
do for Jerusalem...By night I went out through the Valley Gate toward the Jackal
Well and the Dung Gate, examining the walls of Jerusalem...then I told them,
"you see the trouble we are in: Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its
gates have been burned with fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of
Jerusalem and we will no longer be in disgrace.
Nehemiah 2:11-18
Lastly, we don't want to plan forever. It is prudent to plan; however, your plan
is fruitless if it is never executed or cannot be executed. Nehemiah was a
doer! Once he completed the planning process, he executed it with a leadership
style that is worth emulating.
