Glenn Cahoon was the first engineer to volunteer with us.
He used his years of experience as a civilian employee of the US Navy to
help prepare a long-term maintenance program for Joy Ranch - a Christian
home for children in Woodlawn, VA. |

Building Ministries has worked with Ambassador Youth Ministries, from Virginia Beach, VA,
during the summers of 2000 and 2001 to complete youth-centered missions
trips to Port Jervis, NY. Tri-State Christian Camp was the primary
ministry supported.. During these trips the teens from AYM executed a number of construction projects and
ministry events. |
 |
 |
| While
in Port Jervis, we also had the opportunity to support and establish a
relationship with the Salvation Army Port Jervis Corps. |
 |
 |
Part
of the Salvation Army support included getting the former engineer turned
youth pastor John David Punch involved with an evaluation of the Salvation
Army's Thrift Shop roof. |
| Union Missions Ministries had a playground
renovated
by a Jr. High missions team. |
 |
 |
Our founder, Mike Keller,
had the opportunity to travel to Romania in September, 2001. The trip
was sponsored by Union Mission Ministries. The team helped construct a church in
the gypsy village of Simand, Romania. |
